RegenBen Consultancy

A genuine move away from the “more-on” approach!

I do not believe that moving away from artificial pesticides and inorganic fertilisers should be replaced with the same net spend on bugs-in-jugs and micronutrition!

I offer a consultancy service which can be tailored to meet the specific needs of farmers, growers, businesses or agencies.

RegenBen Taylor-Davies

Farmers and Growers

I offer bespoke consultancy in regenerative agricultural techniques which spans a huge variety of desires. From taking the first tentative steps to reducing artificial input costs, to a full regenerative system involving perhaps agroforestry, silvopasture, biodynamics, understory no till and even aquaculture systems.

I operate on a national basis (and in places international through the power of technology (drones, wifi, data capturing, zoom meetings etc) with clients the length and breadth of the UK.  From intensive weekly visits of crop walking and the full advice package, to remote ‘strategic’ advice which may involve 2-4 farm visits a year with the rest of the consultancy being done through various communication lines (generally email and telephone).

I have all the ‘necessary’ licences, which are required by UK law, in which to advise on the application of agrochemicals (BASIS) and fertilisers (FACTS) and I am a member of the BASIS professional register.

Businesses

Many businesses are rightly concerned about their environmental footprint and profile.  The most obvious is that of carbon offsetting which I can help with the consultation and direct businesses in a way in which they can offset carbon on a more personal level than a simple yet blind ‘carbon trading’ scheme.

As important would be the ecological uplift requirement that is now becoming a real topic for discussion whereby a company may require new infrastructure (such as expansion or relocation of offices, roads or warehousing).  This causes huge impacts on the local ecology and can be somewhat mitigated against by purchasing a personal ecological uplift commitment whereby a farmer or land owner can pursue a much greater ecological benefit from the equivalent area of land for the benefit of wildlife.

Agencies

I offer various options for bespoke training and advice for agency bodies, both NGO’s and IGO’s, where I can either organise a farm visit, on location visits, zoom discussions (of numerous topics) presentations, lectures and organisation meetings. Here I can bring my expertise and knowledge when considering the wider aspects of policy decisions such as water, soil and air and how the interaction of the end goals might be affected by the plans being created.

If you would like to discuss your requirements, then please give me a call or drop me an email.
